How to disable Open File Security Warning when running applications from network?

Run gpedit.msc, and go to Local Computer Policy->User

Configuration->Administrative Templates->Windows

Components->Attachment Manager and enable "Default risk level for file

attachments", and then enable "Inclusion list for low risk file types"

and add to this list the file extensions that you want to open without triggering this.

For Windows XP Sp3 it is similar, just in user configuration / Templates

For Windowses without Policy editor (Vista Starter, Windows 7 Home,...) use following registry entry:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Associations]
“LowRiskFileTypes”=”.exe;.bat;”

and reboot your PC
